The towns of Golden Ring are situated in the northeast of Moscow. They are open-air museums of Russian architecture dated the 12th century and later. The Golden Ring includes the eight principal towns of Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Vladimir and Suzdal. If you have more than one week for your trip, the list can be extended to include other lovely towns nearby.
